Sarah Ann BENSON was born on 1 November 190 at 14 Court 7 House Lord Street Park Sheffield and died on 2 February 1983
Sarah was known as Sally by the family. She married her husband Arthur Risdale CHATTERTON and lived on Lord Street from their marriage in 1933 until the early 1950's when they moved to Ulley Road, Woodthorpe, Sheffield.
Sally was a member of the Sheffield United Supporters Cricket Club and was also a member of Sheffield Walking Club where she met her husband.
Sally is in the centre on the back row (sleeveless) of this photo. I would be interested to know the names of the other ladies in the team. The photo was taken by a Sheffield photographer and appeared in the Sheffield Star newspaper.
