Obituary in Sheffield Telegraph 16 August 1922 "BOY's 40 FOOT FALL
A verdict of "accidental death" was requested at a Sheffield inquest on Reuben Benson (6) of 14 court 9 House Lord Street who fell from the parapet of the railway bridge at Navigation Hill to the railway 40 feet below. There was no adult witness of the fall and no coherent story was forthcoming from the children who were playing near. P.C. Peak, Coroner's Officer, stated that the stone buttresses of the bridge were damaged, apparently by children scrambling on the, and he was of the opinion that the lad had ventured on to the parapet from the buttresses".
